We went just expecting to ride on an elephant but there was so much more. The elephant ride was fun and at times a bit scary going up and down the trail. Going into the stream was a surprise and fun as well. After our...More

My partner and I visited the training centre on our holiday in Chiang Mai. We booked through our travel company and were led to believe it is an elephant sanctuary... it is not. Elephants are forced to perform for people’s entertainment. We seen one of...More

If your goal is to ride an elephant and watch them forced to do tricks, stop reading now and go here. You may like it. For everyone else, this is a sad and terrible place and should be avoided. It was booked for us by...More

Just missed the bathing time when we arrived. Disappointed a little about that—it’s just once a day. The 50 minute ride on an elephant through the jungle and the river was very relaxing and enjoyable!

This is not an attraction which treats its elephants well. They are chained up and ridden over treacherous terrain with weights on their backs which are too heavy! The center is generally run down and the overall experience was very uncomfortable as my heart went...More

We had a great time. Never did anything like this before. It is not a walk around a circle on an elephant. You go into the jungle, up and down hills in the jungle and into a river. There was even an elephant show that...More
