If you find yourself in Varazze you must not miss this very relaxing walk. This used to be a 4 km stretch of train tracks that was relocated further north thus leaving a beautiful walking or cycling path that goes to Cogoleto, the next town....More

That's a stunning way, done where an ancient railway use to have. You can walking or cycling around, there's a rent shop in Varazze. A lot of tunnels, a lot of amazing view places, a lot of chances to swim in the blue. Simply amazing.

It's just 50 years since this railway line closed (100 years after it was built) when the new line was built higher up in the towns. It's fascinating in the towns to see where it used to go (Arenzano particularly) but this cycle and walk...More

Amazing views along all the ways. Peerect track of beauty and health in one fantastic road. Enjoyed morning and evening walking, reading and running. Healing views for the soul. Had some wild beach spots along the road.

If you don't want to hang out at the beach everyday, then I highly recommend a bicycle ride along the coastline. Bring your swim gear anyway and find your own "private" beach for a cooling dip...

This cycle track is really great fun. As it is flat, we were all able to cycle the 10km each way, in spite of our great age. You go along the sea the whole way, there are rocky bays, beaches and tunnels. There are no...More

We read about this walking path in a Guidebook so decided to give it a try on a Sunday morning. We accessed it from Cogoleto and walked to Varazze where we returned to Genoa by train though we understand that it now also extends to...More

I was really pleased and astonished to find this innovative conversion of an old railway track in Italy. It's to walk and to cycle - just loved the view and the nature there.
