My wife and I came here years ago. We had only a cheap Ryanair flight and hire car, no accommodation and no itinerary. We drove past here and a while later returned. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They found us a great B & B nearby. After that we chose to eat here pretty much every night of our holiday. The food and hospitality did not disappoint at all. It was lovely and despite being an English bar in a typically Italian untouristy area, it was superb and even the locals seemed to all congregate here too. Highly recommended. Would love to come back.

Arrived Sunday evening without a hotel booking and we wanted to repeat a very succesful piece of 'luck' we had in the Gargano Peninsula by getting a small apartment to rent for 3 days. The rooms we saw when we followed up the 'Affitasi' signs in Torre Canne were very disappointing however and we had almost resigned ourselves to check the Eden Hotel when I spotted the Atlantic Pub - at least they will speak English and maybe they can help us with accommodation. Meanwhile the local streets were crowed with people taking their stroll - but not only pedestrians, the streets were blocked with traffic - even the cars get to take a 'passegiata' on Sunday evening. Luckily we had a good view from the Atlantic Pub and Michelle, the lovely Scottish co-owner with her bike riding partner found us accommodation in a lovely Villa just outside the town and close to the Beach. This had bedding and towels (as we had none) and she quickly got a young man to drive us out there and show us the Villa - which was great, perfectly adequate for what we wanted. By the way I think a lot of these 'new build houses' are called villas - some are more grand than others. We came back for a Pizza and a beer when we had unpacked and the restaurant was busy - though this was the 2nd week in September (2006). The Pizza was brilliant and the street carnival continued until quiet late so all in all a good evening. Do drop in if you are in the district.
