Beach Review
We came to the beautiful beach, where we were hoping to listen to the nature of the sea, hovewer instead we ended up to hear the noise entire time that we stayed at the beach! This was really irretating and of cause we didnt bother staying to try their lunch! Staff should be doing the noisy cleaning when customers are not around!
Also the entrance to the beach was €10 each, so instaed of enjoying it- we were irratated!

Rude Staff, Not worth the price.
Sep 2019 • Friends
Charged €35 for two beds(the most expensive we came across on our travels), then told no beds available in the designated rows but we could have beds placed in the walkway. No mention of a discount for this less than desirable location of the beds. We decided instead to ask for a refund. We were followed to the desk by a very aggressive male worker who said we were lying about there being no bed available. He refused to accept it was unreasonable to expect us to lie in the walk way. Plenty of ‘reserved’ beds empty.. We managed to get the full refund but we were asked how much we paid... is it not a set price??
We then went for a lovely walk to Piano di Sorrento on the outskirts of Sant’Agnello and found a great public beach, with sunbeds available for €4.

Overcrowded and trash in the water
Aug 2019
Do not pay for this. You will be sardined between people and sweat to death. The water is filled with trash. Not at all the peaceful, blue waters of Amalfi. Spend your money on a much better experience elsewhere.

Dear Customer, La Marinella is located in the middle of the Gulf of Naples, where it’s possible to find crystal clear waters of the Sorrento Peninsula. It can happen, as indeed happens in Amalfi, that the waters are dirty ... but our bathhouse offers the possibility to swim both inside a natural pool and to swim offshore, where there are more currents. So we absolutely don't understand his dissent. But we agree with you: if you don't like our offer ... go elsewhere! The Staff

Very very rude!!
Aug 2019 • Couples
First they told us there were no chairs available so we were planning to go to the free part of the beach.
Downstairs the lady at the register told us that there were chairs available but only on the beach. So we bought a ticket (24euros for 2 chairs and an ambrella) and found a chair on the beach. After 2 min a man came and said that we could not sit there but we could sit a bit further, not on the beach. So we moved out stuff. Again we found a chair and the man said ' no, not on the first row. It's reserved'
There were no signs that it was reserved. He was very rude and just wanted us to sit were he wanted. Our view were metal stairs. The whole time we were there nobody came to sit on the other chairs.
If you want a nice beach experience go somewhere else.

Dear Sarah, We are desolate for your comment: despite the crowded months of August, a seat was found for you ... and we had this review as a result! Furthermore, as you can see from the other reviews, the courtesy of the Marinella staff is renowned everywhere in the Sorrento Peninsula! We regret that you have not been able to grasp this quality of ours. Greetings, The staff

Don't believe the website
Aug 2019 • Couples
Arrived today at 9.30. We really wanted a bed on the side of the water. We were told they were all reserved! 40+ beds in the best positions are reserved today! Their own website states beds and umbrellas CANNOT be reserved. We were told the people reserving them had them for 15 days! As a women was shown to her reserved bed, money changed hands, make your own minds up!

A must visit!
Jul 2019 • Friends
We were able to visit because we stayed at The Mediterraneo Hotel. We went 3 day's and it never got old. We were in the "Quiet" section. The lunch we ordered was great! Very surprised about that. Get a chair and an umbrella.

Dear Paula, we are very happy that you enjoyed our bathhouse! La Marinella, in fact, is known throughout the Sorrento Peninsula for the quality of the waters, for the excellent services and for the friendliness of the staff. We are waiting for another dream vacation. Best wishes, The staff

Wonderful place to relax
Jun 2019
We spent a week in Sant’Agnello and after several days exploring the Amalfi coast, we decided we wanted a day off walking around in the heat! La Marinella was the perfect spot to recuperate for a day. Truly stunning views, clean shower and toilet facilities, and plenty of sun loungers - for a much better price than if you visited a beach club in a busier town like Sorrento. If we had stayed longer, we would have come back for another day. The only thing I would say, if I had to be negative, is that the staff were at times somewhat surly and not as friendly and helpful as we had come to expect from other places we visited during our trip.

Almost a time capsule of Italian retro sunbathing
May 2018 • Couples
If not based at the Hotel Corallo, accessible through the walkway below the Piazzetta Marinella or the lift adjoining the Ristorante La Marinella. This predominantly artificial construction, although generally well presented and the only real access to sunbathing by the sea in the Sant’Agnello area. Attached to the Hotel Corallo but with concessions for guest of the other nearby hotels, the platformed area allows access to swimming in the bay either by the quayside or the small enclosed dark coarse sand and pebble beach. All the facilities come at a charge which is standard for the area but as stated if you are based local a discount is available.

That noted the walkway allows you access to this and the adjoining quay which is free and affords you most of the access but obviously without the creature comforts beyond those you may have brought with you. That said, the experience is one of your own making you can treat yourself to the almost 50s retro experience with all the posing you’re your sunglasses and swimsuit can muster through the facilities or the simplistic experience of swimming or just dabbling your toes of the quay as you enjoy the local weather. Reservedly recommend on a budget but more so if you're not.
