It is quite stunning to see this "City in the Mountains". I'm from New York, so nothing i've ever seen. It is worth walking around, there is quite a bit of history, if you're into that. Just imaging how they people moved about. The Stonework...More

I must say I had booked this holiday 6 months earlier and when I was driving to Ragusa I couldn't remember why I had decided to stay three nights there. Well, I must have done some pretty good research (but I forgot about it). Ragusa...More

Nothing less than amazing - GO GO GO! Narrow streets and steep stairs all over. Good exercise before eating some good Sicilian cooking :)

We loved walking the streets....and taking the tours of local buildings. I highly recomend the Baroque Tour Bus, which stops in Ragusa Ibla, the newer section (Ragusa Superiore), as well as the nearby towns of Modica and Scicli. It runs four loops a day between...More

One of the baroque hill towns along with Noto - don't miss . Historic centre and with energy worth climbing up to Santa Maria delle Scale for the views back across to Ragusa Ibla .

The historic Venter of Ragusa is just beautiful! You walk there if you stay at the city if Ragusa, it's 2 kilometres far. But the way down to Ibla worths every single step!

Multigenerational families and friends gathered in pockets across the city,...More

I loved the day we spent wandering the streets of Ragusa Ibla! It's a beautiful city steeped in history. With not many tourists and empty street it was like being transported back in time. I will definitely return.. wear comfortable walking shoes !

Yep, you can find street parking everywhere in Ragusa and also in Ragusa Ibla but you'd better rent a small car because the streets are very narrow! There is also plenty of parking outside the walls of Ragusa Ibla so you can... More

Not sure if it’s too late to respond? But we stayed around the corner from the bus stop in Ibla ( much more scenic than upper Ragusa) in an amazing Airbnb owned by Biagio. There is a restaurant in the hotel across the street... More
