Back in 1964, Alibrando Dei, a wine-growing enthusiast, recognised in the area of Bossona, splendid for its exposure and pedological characteristics, lands predestined to produce great red wines, and promptly purchased them and planted the first vineyards. Their main goal, shared by wine-making expert Paolo Caciorgna, technical director of the winery, has always been that of producing excellent and elegant wines that represent the terroir, by making the most of native vine species and the undisputable quality of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Enjoyed this 1.5 hr tour led by Elize. Beautiful estate with 5 vineyards, with a small scale amphitheater as the owner Caterina has a taste for architecture & music. September is a great month to visit as it is harvest season & we saw the sorting & bottling process. Sampling of 4 wines included, accompanied by music. Elize gave a clear explanation & was also very patient with our purchases. Plus point: Met Caterina the owner, sampled the plums on the plum tree. And also tasted the sanjovese grapes that were being sorted. A walk among the vineyards is not included but you are welcome to take their own walk after the tour. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you hv a car, it is an easy drive , just a few km away. Look for the sign “Cantine Dei” on the left if you are coming from Montepulciano.

Had an extraordinary Tour and Wine Tasting at this stunning vineyard. We loved the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Bossona, The Nobile Madonna Della Querce, Sancta Catharine and the Reserva. We were lucky to have the owner, Mrs. Catharine, who is also a professional songstress and part of the third generation running this establishment, join us for the tasting. Her knowledge, passion, and commitment to continuing the legacy of producing quality products is commendable. Can’t wait to receive our wine delivery which is expected to arrive tomorrow - If you can, do buy a bottle of their olive oil, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I stopped by this winery just prior to closing and they were more than happy to welcome us, giving us a nice tour of the facilities as well as a tasting. The winery itself is incredibly beautiful with amazing architectural touches that make it unique. All of the wines we tasted were fantastic. The owners of the winery happened to be there and welcomed us personally and even signed one of our bottles for us. I would definitely recommend adding this winery to your list of wineries to visit while in Montepulciano.

LOVED this place! We had toured 3 other wineries in the area and I think this was my favorite. The tour was great! I have never seen anything like it with all the Travertine. The place is truly a work of art and totally worth seeing! I have never seen such an elegant barrel room! After the tour, we were led into the small tasting room and seated at the bar where we got to meet the owner. That was also a treat! We enjoyed all the wines we tasted. They were all very nice and we bought several bottles. We were so lucky as we were staying in a rental house about a mile down the road. This place was so worth the visit!!!
