A wine lover’s paradise, Tuscany is home to countless vineyards that can sometimes leave visitors overwhelmed. On this day trip from Florence, your guide introduces you to acclaimed Tuscan wineries in the Orcia Valley (Val d’Orcia) region for wine tastings with local experts. We booked a tour of the cellars and tasting of all the wines made by Tenuta Valdipiatta. Mirco (I hope this is the correct spelling) took the tour, he was entertaining, knowledgable and welcoming. We sent a highly enjoyable few hours, ending with tasting and were not under pressure to purchase, but the wines were so good, we took some home. A lovely tour and highly recommended.

We just came back from a tour and wine tasting at Tenuta Valdipiatta, where my wife and I went. To begin with, the tour was AMAZING! It was just the two of us, and we got to ask a lot of questions. Our guide was very knowledgable, really. He wasn't annoyed by a lot of questions, and could genuinely be seen having passion for wine. My wife and I are wine passionate, however we have never tried old wines before, so we were explained the difference, and why certain wines can be ages and others can't. We were offered a rose, 2 wines from 2016 and then one from 2003, and one from 1999. What we took was a journey through time! The pairing with cheese is amazing, and the visit lasted longer than expected because we were having such a great time. At the end, we walked out with 3 bottles from the aged wine we tasted, so good! What impressed me was the knowledge and the time Mirko took with us to explain what we were about to drink, what to look for, why certain things were done in a certain way and so on. We have been in other "wine tours", and often they result in short visits, done by reading a script, oriented into selling you a certain wine(s). This was by far the best visit we had in our two weeks in Tuscany (and we have done many!) THANKS AGAIN!!

We visited this winery in late February. We had a tour planned but we running late because we found out that my daughter who was studying abroad in Italy had to depart quickly due. Our wonderful Airbnb host contacted the winery on our behalf. Our host, Mirko, could not have been more kind or gracious when we arrived an hour late. He gave us a very nice tour of the grounds and winery. He clearly knew a great deal about wine making and the history of wine in the region. We booked the Flavours of Tuscany tour. The wines were delicious and the food was as well. The food was also plentiful - it was our lunch! The wine and food pairings were very interesting to learn about. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend that others tour as well. We ordered 6 bottles to be shipped back home. We are already kicking ourselves for not ordering more wine!!

This was such a new experience for us! First we had a yoga session next to the beautiful grapevines, hearing the floating water in the background. Our Yoga teacher Anna was so wonderful, she guided us perfectly - she is such an experienced and authentic individual! Afterwards we had a wonderful wine tasting of the fine grapevines we did Yoga next to. The wines were delicious and the explanations provided by Mariam very interesting. Having done Yoga prior to the tasting, we felt very relaxed! Thank you for this wonderful experience - we can highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unique way of connecting your senses!

Our hotel in Montepulciano arranged this tour for us and we are so glad that they did. We've done several winery tours in the past and I can honestly say that this one was the most informative we ever done. We learned so much about the entire process. The tasting was wonderful as well, as they offered several different types of wine to try. We ended up purchasing an entire case to have shipped back to the US. Our packaged arrived a few weeks later and we've already enjoyed one of the bottles. Each time we open one it will remind us of our amazing Italian trip. I highly recommend both the tour and their wines.
