I was in Marsala with my family and already on the first day we discovered that the city shore has problems with plenty of sea weed. So we decided to go to an "official" beach, and expected it to be clean and nice, but were dissapointed with a few things. When we got there, we wanted to stay at the side of the beach - away from the sunbeds, but one of the staff came right away and told us the beach was private and in order to stay there we have to at least pay for one sunbed. We asked if we can only take a quick dip (it was already 5 p.m., but he said no). I did not want to dissapoint my children with leaving, so we payed. But what we got was a beach with sea grass on it, some pretty big pieces of broken bottles in the sea (imagine someone stepping on them) and the beach itself is really nothing special.

What a lovely beach this must be to visit in the summer months. Nice long sandy beach, deep enough to walk and allow many to enjoy.

Quiet and calm beach within walking distance from the city center of Marsala. It has a beutiful view of the Egadi islands, and a bar where you can get coffe, drinks and something to eat. We are looking forward to go there next summer again.
