nice stores around, quiet, large space to walk and enjoy the view of the lake. a nice area for a night before a bergamo flight.

The statue of Garibaldi was the first ever to be put up in any Italian town. It also shows Garibaldi standing and not on horseback. There are some nice little shops around the piazza. One of my favourites is a café cum bookshop/stationery store. Sitting in a café and watching the world go by... what could be nicer?

An arcaded square, offering shelter from either rain or sunshine, with a variety of small shops, open in the late afternoon or evening, with seating areas for coffee bars to relax in and have conversations or read a paper. Very relaxing. Service is excellent, wherever you go, and at whatever time. A local market sets up early on Monday and Friday mornings, and is clear by mid-day. Useful for anything you may have forgotten to bring on holiday! One of the roads out of the square leads to the Post Office, which is predominately yellow in Italy, personal counter service is available at the post office.

The square is certainly central and the heart of Iseo but unfortunately, unlike the rest of the town, it is dirty, poorly maintained and full of annoying pigeons. I don't recommend it basically.
