During our three passes trip from Toblach to Deutschnofen this was the ideal opportunity for a stop. The Sass Pordoi is reached from Passo Pordio. Connections are frequent, like every 10 minutes, but I can see these to be crowded with waiting times in winter....More

First ascended to Sass Pordoi 15 years ago and have just returned from the Dolomites, having been up the cable car twice in a week. At 19 Euros return, it isn't cheap but I think the experience is well worth the money. The cable car...More

Visited on organised trip to Dolomites from Lake Garda. Views were amazing enough on the drive up( glad was on tour as wouldn’t fancy driving the 27 hairpin bends!) but even better when you go up in the cable car which is very frequent. We...More

Absolutely stunning. The cablecar ride to the top takes 3-4min and the views are breathtaking. Once on top, plenty of places to wander around and explore and a lovely cafe/restaurant. Make sure you take a camera!!

Well worth taking the smooth cable car ride up to the sass pordoi at 2950 metres. Wonderful views from all sides. There is a cafe and restaurant also with good views. The cable cars run ever 15 minutes.

What magnificent scenery. We did two small walks up the mountains on either side of the road. Had lunch sitting on the grass with magnificent views. Tacky tourist shops that sell “ made in China” goods that we can buy in Australia. We did not...More

After 23 hairpin bends climbing the road up by coach, it would be a pity not to continue to climb! Breath-taking views from the cable car during the swift and smooth ascent and then from the viewing platforms - keep walking round! - and cafe....More

This hike could be considered moderate in a few weeks. Despite the tour office warnings we forged ahead. First half was a cake walk, second half was a steep incline, part hip deep snow, part ice wall. In those conditions I recommend only experienced or...More

We took the big gondola up the peak and the scenery was breathtaking. there were two viewing areas and we could do a little wandering around. The restaurant served ok food with a million dollar panorama view.
