Brand new automated light rail system that goes from the north of Brescia, through the historical centre, to the south east. Tickets cost €1.40 for zone 1, and are valid for 90 minutes, which means they're fine for bus connections too.

Used the Metro on my three separate visits to this wonderful city. Had the Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardy ticket so the Metro here was included as was the Milan Metro. Only one stop from the train station straight to the heart of the city. Brilliant. Smashing design . One way tickets at 1.40 euros. Wish the Glasgow Metro was as swish as this.

I live abroad and I left Brescia when the underground had just opened so I didn't really have the chance of using it back then. I came back to Brescia last November and this December and I cannot be enough thankful for the Metro system. It has literally changed the way to move around the city and it connects different neighborhoods in such an easy and fast way. It's fantastic to be able to be downtown in 10 minutes without the headache of taking - and parking - the car. The metro is clean, beautifully designed and very practical even if you are moving with young children in a push chair. Definitely an upgrade for Brescia and all the citizens and tourists that can benefit from it.

This metro has got 17 stations. The stations are good also for handicapped, elevators are available. Clean, quick, and not so full. I would wish if we would have such a metro like this!

The metro in nice, modern, and, although it only has one line, it is convenient and very safe, with the door that open only when the train arrives
