We hired 2 canoes and went from Vayrac to Gluges. It did take longer than we thought it would but it was very hot. This is quite a long trip with children but worth it especially in the 37 degree heat. Picked up at 2pm...More

Thank you very much for this kind message.
Hope to see you soon on the Dordogne ...
Unacceptable from such a company to leave us (2 of us) at the finish. Everyone else who was on the river had been picked up. They didn't even call us. After trying to call the company few times finally someone picked up the phone and...More
Perfect day out on gentle river, kayaking with family 13 and 10 year old. You can take double or single kayaks and both work great. We'd never really done anything like this but the Dordogne is perfect for absolute beginners. The minimum length is 9km...More

Thank you very much for your lovely comment and really sorry for your tired arms ...
Best regards and hope to see you soon.
We had an awesome day. We rented the kayaks from Canoë Safaraid. Very good boats, fully equipped with paddles, life jackets and storage boxes for your belongings that should stay dry. Probably we will do another tour next summer!
Used the excellent Safaraid on-line booking system to book an 18km / half day canoe trip on the Dordogne.
We left our car at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and were taken by bus to the launch site upstream at Argentat. We were equipped with our life jackets, storage...More
We have chosen this company every year for the last three and taken a canoe out at different parts of the river. This year we decided to start at Argentat and were not disappointed. This part of the river has the most white water and...More
We spent the day doing one of the Safaraid routes from Saint Sozy to Souillac (the 3 chateaus route). It took about 4 hours and we stocked up beforehand with a picnic and lots of water. We found the company hugely professional and helpful, the...More
The owner/operator and his staff are very personable and professional. The canoe ride was enjoyable. We would go again if ever in the area; but next time we would make a full day of it to see more parts of the river.
We travelled from Vayrac to St Sozy on a lazy meander down the river which was a perfect day out. Weather was great, river conditions were perfect and the staff were very friendly and the organisation is perfect. We stopped en-route at a little camp-site...More
We enjoyed 2 day trips from the Veyrac base & thoroughly enjoyed both, each time a party of 4 in 2 Canadian Canoes. The first time we were told how long the journey would take on a non stop basis & treated it as a challenge...More
