liked it alot as its not so much into nation building like museum but more into real life
there are a few floors, main hall dedicated to life of the tribes and their living and customs.
one floor full of stamp collections!

This museum has many interesting exhibits about Omani culture and lifestyle. There are also some art exhibits and a model of a falaj irrigation system. Worth a visit.

Definitely worth a visit if you want to have a glimpse in the history and culture of Omani people. The whole exhibition has been designed very simple yet creative and informative.

It is a very interesting place of arts and culture, not just a museum. You can see and learn the history of this beautiful country. There is a big collection of guns, silvers, royal clothes, jwelles and stamps (on the 1st floor). You can explore all the bldgs and you can see also the recreation of a typical Omani -inside- house.! Plus, there is a coffee shop, a gift shop where you can buy a souvenir. It's better to have your own guide in order to be able to learn more abt the history of Oman. It worths a visit!. Please note that it is forbidden to take photos (inside the main bldg)

This is a museum and art centre set up in the house of an Omani family. Our main recommendation is not to rush it. We spent naerly three hours here visiting all five buildings and did not regret it as you get many different perspectives on Omani civilisation and history.
Two of the areas had contemporary artists who were most interesting (one was present)

Good things come in small packages and this museum is no exception. It offers a huge look into the garb and customs of the Omani people.

Down side: No photography allowed inside. Upside: fabulous displays of Omani clothing, jewellry, utensils, weapons, etc. It was worthwhile being escorted by our private guide. We were most impressed by the displays of elegant royal clothing and silver.

Use GPS to get there. Billy easy to find. Should be allowed to stay in the US you should have no problem finding a place to park. There is a small entrance fee.

There is a gift shop in Bait al Zubair. They have nice souvenirs which are nicely packed. They have variety and small items are reasonably priced.
