For a visit during the day this place is lovely, although I don't think you should have to pay to get in. However, if you're in Oman while there are things going on at the Opera House, I highly recommend seeing one. The stage is...More

If you are lucky enough to a catch a show at the Opera House, expect all the attention of old-world custom (dress code for example). The architectural lines are ravishing in their classy simplicity. Whether you visit just for the mall or one of the...More

The opera house is impressively modern and beautifully laid out. The tour is well worthwhile and inexpensive. There were shops you could visit as well although we skipped that. I only wish we’d had time to see an opera here. The screens giving subtitles on...More

If you get the chance the opera is defenitely worth a visit. Not only operas or classical music is played, also local or foreign performances are showed. Tickets can easily be booked and paid online.

Beautiful building and premises. I got sent away while taking pictures of the building though. Presumably for wearing shorts. So be aware of dresscode even outside the building!

Paid 3 Rials to have a 10minute talk about the building and was then left to look around. Lovely building, the hall and auditorium are the only rooms you see but worth it for the impressive decor. Walked around the outside then onto Opera Galleria...More

As far as I am aware there are no gardens, but the exterior and in particular the marble square where you approach are open all the time and look wonderful. For gardens try Al Qurum or around the Grand Mosque.
