The used to be a magnificent palace but the lack of investment is a serious threat. Go there before it is too late. Unesco seems involved but not much happens there.

The Kasbah looks completely rundown from the outside. You may wonder "why bother"? Once inside you'll be surprised. Much of it is still rundown and/or has been vandalized, but there remain some rooms that are jaw-dropping when you walk in. Beautifully decorated and maintained. I...More

Wandering the halls and suites of this fascinating glimpse into the recent past of Morocco's history you gain a compelling and thought-provoking insight into what this area must have been like under the rule of the Glaoui clan. An amazing and slightly eerie experience.

A beautiful and magical kasbah that you should not miss! Even though the kasbah is partly in ruins today it is still fascinating and enchanting. This place was one of the best sights of our Morocco trip. This is indeed wonderful historical site that is...More

This was once a glorious palace and most of it is in ruins or deteriorated. Still it is a good stop amidst Marrakesh and Ouarzazate f you take the byway to Telouet. That way is also nice, but this Kasbah is worth the stop. There...More

This kasbah is in a very picturesque setting and well worth a visit. Although it has not been maintained, the ornately designed reception rooms are well-preserved and impressive. It costs 20 dh per person to visit. A colorfully turbaned guy named Mohammed is often around...More

We drove from Marrakech to the pass and then on to Telouet. The last 20km is on a very poor road but it is under repair and should be ready this summer (2018). The only thing in Telouet is the casbah but it's worth the...More

After driving through the narrow and steep mountain roads, you'll be rewarded by Telouet Kasbah. It's worth the drive.

At times it reallyws amazes me how could one build a castle in the middle of nowhere. Yes, it is certainly in the middle of nowhere. But it was just before my eyes after a long journey from Marrakech. True, there are certain rooms with...More
