I haven’t been to the chairlift since I was 12 and I honestly can say it was a pleasant surprise. There are not a lot of things you can do in Vatra Dornei but a trip with the chairlift is a must do. The 25...More

The nature is very beautiful around, you will see a lot of nice things. Unfortunately some people who are in charge of taking care of visitors are very rude. I had small children with me and I needed a moment until I jumped in the...More

If you go during the week, you have to wait for other people to join. It is written that have to be minimum 10 persons to start working, but in our case, they accepted only 4.

The chairlift helps you get up on top of the mountain. The ride is nice, except that in our case they were chopping down trees. At the top there is not a lot to do, you can have a coffee and walk around and probably...More

Modern chairlift, it's abot a 25 minutes ride one way, so it's very slow, you have time to adimre the surroundings. I am usually scared of heights, but I had no problem here.

We loved the telescaun in vatra dornei. Amazing views all around! At the top there great views down into the valley and the beautiful villages / towns. The herd of cows on the hills with the tingling bells was an added bonus.

At the top of the hill, 4000' above sea level a beautiful herd of cows meandering around with individual bells...just so melodic and gorgeous and unexpected...worth it just for this experience

It is disappointing that the chairlift is soooo old and rusty... it takes a while to get up but you can admire the views and take photos. In winter is awful because you get frostbites until you reach the top. Still worth it! The Dealul...More

It costs 20 RON/adult (2 ways) and 10-15 RON/child the ticket fee. One way the trip lasts around 20 minutes. The view from the top of the mountains worth every penny !

Sorry for my slow response...I think that getting on and off would be difficult for a 3 year old. The chair lift is a ten minute walk from town on the 'park' side of the river (across from the main town). I think you can... More
