Thank you for your lovely review. We often get visitors from the USA who were unaware of John's Dunbar roots, and we love hearing about their experience of the National Parks.

Managed to make it before closing time (5 pm). Great little museum: well laid out and informative, covering all aspects of Muir's life and his heritage. The temporary exhibition was good too.

Hi Neil I am pleased you enjoyed our museum and found it informative. The temporary exhibition we currently have: Kindred Souls, looking at Muir's friendship with William Keith the landscape artist is an area we had not explored before and is proving very popular.

Really warm welcome from the staff, who gave a brief explanation of the layout of the museum. Small place but full of information. I didn't know much about John Muir but this place really gives an insight into what a special man he really was....More

Lots of books and some little ceramic tile plaques of the house. Don't remember seeing scarves or tops with John Muir related logos but I wasn't looking. I suggest you give them a call. The staff are really helpful
