This is the third time I have visited here, a must with children fascinated with military paraphernalia! I have to say though it’s looking very tired now and it seems to have not seen any investment over the last few years. The admission fee is...More

What a pleasant surprise! Cobbaton Combat is a fully-fledged military museum with a large and well-chosen colection of tanks, AFVs, guns and other weapons housed i three large Nisson-hut style buildings outside Barnstaple. We liked the T-34, Centurion and Scammel Tank transporter together with the...More

A huge selection of old military items, which would probably be of interest to adults. There is a small cafe (Nafi) which is open in high season. All very quaint but probably not much of interest to children.

Cobbaton Combat Collection Museum is reached via the traditional high sided single track lanes prevalent in this part of North Devon, just follow the brown tank signs, and if available your sat nav. The location of this Museum is off the beaten track given that...More

There was a group in front of me who had several members in wheelchairs and they didn't seem to have a problem getting around. Dogs allowed on the grounds but not in the buildings and as everything is inside, no dogs are... More
