- john l38 contributionsGo West Young ManWe stayed in the Burlington hotel, five minutes walk West of the pier and were delighted at how uncrowded it was just this short distance away from the centre. The beach and surrounds were kept spotlessly clean and the tidal range gave the option of pebbles or sand. It was lovely to see people enjoying it from dawn to twilight, for exercise, kite flying and paddle boardingVisited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 11, 2023

- Karen R49 contributionsWorthingI love it here. It's always clean, toilets are decent. Great beach, specially when the tide is out. Lovely long pier with a pub on it, and at the end you can watch the guys sea fishing. It's one of my happy places. Also, a fantastic shopping centre, lots of great charity shops.Visited July 2024Traveled soloWritten August 3, 2024

Worthing Beach very clean, inviting well kept. Lovely greenery & flowers. Lots of benches to sit on. Looked like lots of people use the beach walking, skating etc. Skaters seemed to take care of other visitors.

Quite a windy stormy day with a high tide so a brisk walk along the promenade towards Goring from the western end. Busy with people taking the air and their exercise on a November morning. It’s quite possible to walk from East to West Worthing on the seafront though you do need to watch out for cyclists joggers dogs and small children that you share sections with but everyone is enjoying themselves. Obviously the experience is quite different in better weather but the walking surface is definitely an all weather one. Plenty of possible refreshment stops and free parking if you avoid the town centre.

This is a gently sloping safe looking beach for families, although when the tide is in no sand to play on just bank of pebbles, which if infirm or small can be difficult to navigate.
That said the promenade behind the beach makes an ideal path, giving the illusion of being in and on the beach.
All in a lovely easy access beach with clear blue waters, backed by plenty of places to eat, shop, eat and drink.

The beach is predominantly gravel or pebbles with some small sandy areas. Even though it was February there were quite a few people venturing into swim, rather them than me. Behind the beach is a wide concrete promenade which is much easier to walk on than the beach and nearby are many cafes’, shops and amusement arcades.

Nice shopping centre and bars along the seafront. Beach is good and Worthing Pier has a lovely Art Deco building with a good bar overlooking the sea. Plenty of buses that can take you to Brighton, Arundel and all the way to Portsmouth. We ate at the Cowshed bar opposite the pier and a lovely Turkish restaurant called Istanbul. We spent the evening in The slug and lettuce pub and The Warwick pub. It was Worthing pride the weekend we stayed so there was lots of fun going on.

The Worthing promenade stretches the whole length of Worthing’s beach. It is about 4 to 5 miles long.
It is possible to walk the whole length of it, with excellent views of both the beach and the land. Looking out over the sea the wind farm can be seen. Easy access to the beach is possible along almost all parts. The beach is generally stones, with some sand at low tide. Some parts of the beach can be dangerous at certain tides, especially at places like Splash Point so be careful.
There are plenty of places to have a meal, snack, drink or ice cream.
The biggest attraction is probably the pier.

A very large, pebbly beach, but clean, well kept, with several shops, cafes etc. along the adjacent road edge.
Nice pier for a walk.
Car parking is in the town.
