A fantastic church with good facilities and well located in a prominent position. Great place to hold a funeral, wedding, christening etc in Buxton.

In preparation for a day trip to Buxton, I had identified the church of St. Mary the Virgin as a potential place to visit and, having had this recommended to me by the tour guide that I met whilst in St. Anne's church, I decided...More

I was exploring the side streets off the High Street and was so glad that I did as I found this homely and charming Arts & Crafts-designed church. As I'm a big fan of church architecture, I took quite a few photographs. Alas, the church...More

If you're interested in church architecture, this is a must. Other reviews have already covered the detail. I don't know how it stands in the ranks of Arts & Crafts architecture (which I think was mainly concerned with domestic buildings), but I was very impressed,...More

This beautiful little church is well worth a visit, we visited as part of our Buxton Town tour. It's tucked away but well worth finding to spend a quite few minutes reflecting during a busy day.

We went here as part of the tram tour. Tucked away in Higher Buxton you could easily miss it but it's a lovely church and well worth a visit.
