Excellent Heritage Railway. Lovely Engines, rolling stock and stations. A tribute to the people who run it. A lot to be enjoyed on the 3 hour round trip. The longest Heritage Railway in the UK. The only downside was that the toilets were in need...More

I have nothing but praise for the volunteers on this heritage railway, particularly the staff on the train itself. We had an enjoyable trip from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead and back. My criticism is with a particular aspect of the enterprise - the catering. I...More

Rode on this lovely railway as a surprise from our daughters for our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. We had a lovely trip and the staff on the train were really lovely people, all had a laugh and were very happy people.

We travelled down from Suffolk just to do the railway, staying in Watchet, so we could just walk to the station from our B & B (Wyndham House) which has the platform just over the back fence - perfect! Watchet Station is so pretty with...More

Just been on the steam train from Minehead to Bishops Lydiard and it was amazing. This line is so well run with all stations being clean and tidy. And all done by volunteers - East Midlands trains take note. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant half day on this heritage railway. £18 for a Day Rover which would allow you explore every inch of the 20 plus miles of track. Mostly steam locos. If you are in Minehead you must visit this.

An excellent day despite the rain. Great staff, good selection of refreshments and a nice long ride through stunning countryside.

One of my infrequent reviews as I travel the country visiting steam railways. Well the search goes on for one that runs even remotely on time after my Severn Railway review last year. This time, inexplicably as I arrived for the 12.15 train they were...More
