Not good value for money. Audio guides not suitable for children, museum was shabby & info boards were basic. Childen couldn't even see into display cabinets. Little historical info around the site so very confusing. Could be so much better.

This is a great visitor attraction. The castle has the history that you would expect from a building of this period plus the extra interest of the remains of a Roman signal station on site. The café is lovely, and very welcome on a cold...More

Apart from the Keep, which in itself is mostly ruined - only the gatehouse and curtain wall remains. Quite expensive to get on. The castle looks far more impressive from a distance than it does up close

This review is more about the EH activity rather than the castle itself. Scarborough Castle is ruin with half of one tower remaining and it’s good place to visit if you’re at that side of Yorkshire. It will offer a great view of the city...More

There is lots of walking, lots of steps, too. It is worth the exercise to the top. The views are great. Lots of neat places to stop and relax.

Signage worse than poor it’s none existent. Blue badge holders can park inside the castle gates but there is no sign to indicate that this is possible, if you have not done your research online. Bizarrely I had to get out of the car, walk...More
