We keep going past on the open top bus and missing it so last night while staying in Scarborough, we had a walk up to it. It’s wonderful and a great addition to the bay!

Stumbled across this walking along the north shore. Really intriguing sculpture with a fascinating storey, I was quite taken by it.

Came across this excellent piec by chance when walking along the North Beach. An oversized elderly gentleman made entirely of small pieces of steel welded together sitting on an oversized wooded bench. Excellent pice of art with accompanying descriptive notes.

We walked from South Bay round to the north following the evening sun. We enjoyed a rest on the bench and took in the views.

The Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers is a finely crafted statue to a man who was one of the first to liberate the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. He was 23 years old when he witnessed 60,000 very ill prisoners and thousands of unburied dead victims....More
