Visited for the first time last weekend to see some live music and enjoy a DJ afterwards. The DJ was cancelled. The band was great once they got started but it took quite a long time because the microphones didn't seem to be working and the bar staff were trying to sort out technical problems at the same time as tending bar - poorly staffed and we felt sorry for the musicians having to wait to start. Not their fault the venue wasn't set up properly. It was also raining in - could have been dangerous as there were live leads everywhere. I read other reports on here and seems the leak isn't a new thing...the toilets weren't very clean and the cubicles were tiny. I'm told the Gents were pretty disgusting. This was at the start of the night! Drinks were served in plastic cups and not great to be honest. Having said that, they were very reasonably priced so credit where credit's due. Two bar staff in attendance - one very good and friendly, one seemed pretty miserable, didn't crack a smile. The venue has a lot of potential I'd say, even though it's quite small. It's always great to see live bands and we saw a great Steely Dan cover band on the night. A shame the place is so run down.

Recommended here for live music on a Saturday. Walked in and some great metal was playing. Turns 9 and some crappy rap started blasting out. It was "beats night" and all they had was a bad DJ. Left swiftly. Sad. Looks like a good place to drink otherwise

Literally the worst place Iv ever been to! The door man had a serious attitude, water was dripping on our heads from the ceiling and when we told the bar man he said move then. The alcohol was definitely watered down, and as for the woman that worked there, thee worst attitude! Rude stinks and extremely unpleasant!

Went here for some cocktails ending up trying every single one on the menu all being lovely! The staff here where very welcoming and me and my friend had a lovely evening there! Was only meant to go for a couple and ending spending the whole night there as the atmosphere was amazing and we had a brilliant night! Definitely will be coming back again when in Eastbourne !

I have somehow only just found this Eastbourne jem but I will be back a lot I'm sure! Had a great time sitting chatting with my mate and everyone there was incredibley friendly. It was so nice to not be walking into the normal pop or garage music but instead I walked into some Rage against the machine. I'm normally a beer girl but my mate insisted we try some 'fancy drinks' and actually they we're delicious!
