This square is a bit unusual as it slopes from the cathedral to the harbour. It is covered with granite slabs. After darkness fishes, leaves and snow crystals are some of the patterns that light up the square. There are different filters in the light...More

Some of the local goods are somewhat interesting but nothing that great. The square is small; the farmer's market part had some nice looking veggies and fruit. This was, for us, just a wallk-through on our way back to our cruise ship.

The plaza is right between the Cathedral and the harbor in Stavanger, you won't miss it especially is you arrive on a cruise ship. Not too many vendors and the merchandise were quite expensive. The beautiful view of the harbor can be seen here.

Having seen this town square change over time, it has reached a stage that is sad to observe at the moment. It used to be a lively marketplace where local farmers came to sell their produce, but these days are gone, and probably the farmers...More

When walking around Stavanger you will most likely come across this lovely harbour spot. Great views across the water and the ships are tied up closely, great coastal atmosphere. Great photo ops as well.

Really nice area, with great views. I had a week working in Stavanger and every night would wander down here to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the views. Really impressive, great for a chill and relax.

This is a nice area right by the harbour, only a couple of minutes walk from where the cruise ships tie up . Quite busy when we were there, there were plenty of little stalls set up selling all sorts of goods. We had fun...More
