The cathedral, which was consecrated in 1957, is a double-nave long church in the Gothic style. A 50-metre-high freestanding bell tower culminates in a copper-clad pyramid. The interior of the church contains some lovely stained glass and is richly decorated with Christian symbols and signs. It is the third church to be built on the site. The two first ones burned down, but an old wooden cross and Axel Ender's famous Easter Morning altarpiece were rescued from the flames.

A delightful and tasteful modern rebuild, as the original was a victim of WW 2. THE must see building in town. Do hope it is open when you are there. We loved it. Made us almost think of a mini-miniature Coventry Cathedral. Lovely.

Part of a tour bus excursion, we stopped to visit this quaint little church, it is more plain than most churches but the paintings and colourful windows make it a nice place to visit.

After alighting from the bus, we could see the towering bell tower, so we headed in that direction. Very impressive building when seen from the front and back. Went inside and saw the interior, modest setting.

Although the cathedral is only 60 years old (rebuilt after Nazi bombing) a beautiful painting and the cross were saved. The church family were very friendly. Although the service was in Norwegian we could recognize our familiar Lutheran liturgy and some of the hymns. The...More

Stopped by after visiting the rose garden. The architecture is very special although the inside was less impressive. Still a place worth visiting.

Our daughter got married here last March and we visited this September to see where it was. It's in a very beautiful setting and hopefully it will be open when you visit.

Molde cathedral is quite a new building compared with most churches, but it never the less is most impressive . Beautiful modern stained glass. Well worth a visit.

This church is stunning & well worth a visit. However it should be accessible to the public more often. The church tower bell rings on the hour & sounds calming. The structure is gorgeous & well-kept. This is suitable for a quick sighting.
