I had a few hours to kill and walked from behind the hotel (Scandic Parken) up Aksla mountain. It was a short walk on a well prepared set of stairs. I had worked up a bit of a sweat by the time I reached the...More

After a long 418 step the view is absolutely stunning form the top of the hill. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed by the time I was there, but definitely would be a last to have a pint upstairs. Totally worth to go!

418 steps from Byparken (the city park) up to Fjellstua (a restaurant). If you're in good shape you'll walk up in ten minutes, if you're in bad shape, like me, you'll use twenty minutes. Worth the walk up. Loved the view of Ålesund.

We took a tour in Alesund, which included Mt. Aksla to enjoy the views. The viewing was mixed, as was the weather. Take an umbrella. While we took a bus ride up, you can take a long staircase, if you are fit. The buses have...More

The Aksla mountain offers plenty of options for activities, both walking, jogging, photography and more. It is close to the town center and accessible from several locations. The shortest is walking the stairs from the town park. Do explore more of the trails and paths...More
