Driving the Trollstigen was one of the highlights of our trip to Norway. My husband did lots of research before going on our trip about how to navigate the switchbacks with the other vehicles. Wise move. So gorgeous and worthwhile- words don’t do it justice....More

Trollstigen area, consisting of the hairpin road, Trollstigen Center and trails and waterfalls, will take your breath away. The amazing and unique architecture, mixed within the natural scenery is quite interesting. Give yourself time to drive the road and stop at the pullouts if you...More

It was the last day of our trip and we have a trip from Geiranger to Alesund to take a flight back home. We have chosen a road through the Trollsteigen. And it was the right choice! We didn't have time to take a stop...More

Definitely walk to the viewpoint & take in the sights before renting a good car to drive down the pass. It's something you will never forget!

Apart from having some rather excellent nature trails, making your way to the furthermost viewpoint to look down at the snake like road far below is a must if you find yourself in the Western part of Norway. This is a place worthy a detour.

Trollstigen, meaning "Trolls Tongue" is something absolutely worth, or should I say A MUST SEE. Road is not very long, but if you are lucky enough to get there during a blizzard, then better get yourself some calming tablets ;)

The road from Alesund up to the visitor center is itself amazing: it goes along the fjord side to Valdal and then up to Andalsnes through beauty and momentousness. Finally, the visitor center is a great achievement: modern architecture, in harmony with nature, platforms to...More
