The Norwegian Museum of Magic aims to present the work and history of Norwegian magicians. The museum is a fascinating place in continuous development and well worth a visit for fans of magic. Magic show on Sundays at 2 pm. Sale of books and magic equipment, in addition to warm and cold drinks. Contact the museum for group visits outside the regular opening hours. Closed during Christmas/New Year's. The museums's history It started in 1997 as the Norwegian Magician Archives with a collection of posters, newspaper clips, programmes, advertisement cards and photos. In 2001 the museum moved into its own facilities in Munkedamsveien as the Norwegian Museum of Magic. The museum's collection was then expanded to also include props, costumes and other equipment that has belonged to Norwegian magicians. Norwegian name: Norsk Tryllemuseum

Great place to visit with young kids (4-11), they were very interested for whole performance. Just the right length and level for them. Great that they were involved and so close to the action. Museum is very small, that worked well with young kids.

First of all, "museum" is a bit of a misnomer. It's barely the size of an apartment and a lot of things on display are simply props for sale. Be prepared for a long list of rules before entering. The main attraction is the magic...More

For the 50Kr you should only come for the Sunday magic show, not just the museum. The show seems to be mainly for kids. The museum itself is rarely labeled and if it is, it is in Norwegian. Altogether it is presented as a pile...More
