Several varieties of flowers with fountains and ponds. Gardens well cared for with several large old trees that are in the gardens providing shade on hot days. Nice stroll along various gardens including suculant garden near the entrance.

It is free to enter so I shouldn't complain too much but a lot of the plants were dead or dying. All the staff were at the entrance where the university students use the facilities to learn about the plants, so all the area round...More

Vienna is Nice walked by foot and suddenly, around a corner, from the hustle in the street outside, or from the tourists at the palace on the other side. An oasis of trees and meadow landscape, filled with flowers and insects. And, - one is...More

Not huge or amazing but a very pleasant restful place for a stroll with some lovely plants/flowers/trees depending on season. We were there just as the magnolias were flowering and the trees were in fresh green leaf. Respite from the hot sun.

The Botanical Gaden of Vienna located next to Belvedere gardens in the 3rd district is part of the University of Vienna. It covers a huge area with more than 11.000 plants. It is such a nice walk!

Lovely free garden with interesting plants. Runs from just off Rennweg to the top of the Belvedere Gardens. A hidden gem.

There are wonderful displays of many types of plants, trees and shrubs to wander through with plenty of shade if the sun is at its peak.

Right beside the Belvedere Palace there's this hidden park - a botanical garden with free access to the public with an impressive history. It goes back to Maria Theresia's times - and that means that the trees are old and impressive - and it's a...More
