Right in the heart of the old quarter of the city ( thankfully ) where cats don’t go, you’ll walk right into/past this wonderful Church. It’s architecture and presence are wonderful. An easy inclusion as you walk this city’s squares.

The beauty of Vienna enchanted me at every step. The architecture is amazingly beautiful and st. Stephen's cathedral rises above all it is so amazingly beautiful, which can't be explained in words and one has to experience just by visiting.

We visited on a very busy Saturday when there was the annual Mass and celebration for the Order of St George. Full of pageant and colour. As you can imagine the cathedral and surrounding area were packed. A visit for another day.

The church itself has been very well restored after receiving damage in wartime. The Treasury has an impressive selection of sacred relics and some unexpectedly surviving medieval wall paintings.

The most important church in Vienna. Interesting to look inside, it is dark inside, don't except some special, but nice.

If you go into the Crypt on a tour then you can, yes. It's about €5.50 for an adult.
