Exorbitantly expensive, the only thing to see is just the horses walking around and trotting a bit. The most interesting thing that happened was when one of the horses pooped.

We really enjoyed the tour of the riding stables and saw the horses up close and personal (no cameras or touching allowed in stables but ok in tack room and Winter Garden). Guide was great and answered all questions. No to be missed for horse...More

We very much enjoyed the impressive performance by the horses and their handlers. It was fascinating to see the elegant Lipizzan horses, being aware of the ties in the past between the Habsburgs in Austria and Spain. Equally interesting was the fact that one of...More

The stallions were not in residence so went to morning exercise. Tickets were easy to purchase at the ticket office. My wife like this better because they brought out mates and babies. Well worth the 17 euros.

Best tip book before travel; and leave time to get inside no clear directions where to enter various entrances. seating gives good views mostly but is cramped, show good , lovely horses and music

This place is only recommended if you like old school circuses that is an arena with many horses running and two humans forcing commands on them. I left after 8 minutes.

We booked a tour of the stables, as it was too late on the day to see a show. We had a very nice guide (Anna) who knew a lot about the place and its history. The tour was very informative and we got to...More

We saw Piber meets Vienna and it was worth it. In our age of thrill-a-minute, flash-bang, laser-light shows, it was actually nice to see a more sedate, old-fashioned show rooted in a long history. The mares and fillies were the highlight. Check out YouTube for...More

Dear Nicolas, many thanks for the wonderful description you give us! Indeed - it as a very special atmosphere the mares and their foals are bringing into the imperial Winter Riding School. Hope to welcome you one day again, Andrea Kerssenbrock

We turned up on the day and it was explained to us that the Lipizzana horses are on their summer break but instead the brood mates and their foals were visiting. We booked the most expensive seats in the Spanish riding school and managed to...More

Dear Guest, we are happy that you had so much fun with our Lipizzaner horses from the Piber stud. It is well worth to visit the horses in their stud as well! Kind regards, Andrea Kerssenbrock

There was quite a line up to see the show/training, if you bought your tickets online you still have to go to the ticket office for real ones. Once inside it was hard to see from a lot of places because of huge pillars, also...More
