We went to the friday afternoon performance at Muth, the Vienna Boys Choir Auditory. The auditory itself has wonderfull acoustics, and is a therefore a good venue for choir or chamber music. But we were expecting a little bit more from the Boys Choir. They...More

Highly recommend their Friday afternoon concerts at MuTh by Augarten. We booked over 2 months before the date. I must say I was blown away by the purity of their sound and their professionalism. I was expecting something akin to a America’s got talent group...More

We were lucky enough to attend the 7th October mass - Mozart's coronation mass. The service was charming (I understand German well) and the music was outstanding. I knew beforehand that the boys choir only sang only a single song in view, but others did...More

We heard the Vienna Boys Choir at the Hofburgkapella Music Chapel. I reserved seats and ordered by tickets on line in advance, and had front row seats in the first balcony. My seats provided some air when the balcony door was open, and even when...More

We took a leap of faith and ordered tickets on line ahead of travel. With a try at Uber and finally a taxi we went to MUTH in Vienna to hear an outstanding concert. What a joy. All in German .... we didn’t have an...More

There is nothing to compare to listening to the Boys Choir singing a private tour for our very small group, in their own home. The reception afterwards, in which we could chat with the kids was so exciting. I had chills and tears while listening...More

The Sunday morning mass is exactly that...a mass, not a spectacle. We attended on Sunday 20 May. The Choir sung Haydn’s Mass in B Major throughout the mass. They sung from the top at the back of the church, so if you sit at the...More

I didn’t really enjoy this. The chapel is pretty drab and hasn’t benefitted from 19th century “restoration”. We seemed to have the B list of the Vienna boys choir. At least I didn’t have a terrible seat. I was in the “Haus Oratorium” with a...More

The venue is beautiful and historic. The seating is fine for listening, but not good for seeing much of what is going on. A bit pricey and a bit long. A memorable experience, but wouldn’t do it again.

We went to the MuTh to see them perform the Gute Hirten. This event was truely fantastic. We booked in advance and we were completely overwhelmed by their performance. It was a major highlight for us while in Vienna.

If I remember correctly, it’s perhaps 90-120 mins long. The boys sing a capella for the first few songs, then accompanied by their conductor on the piano. Then there’s an intermission where patrons can have a drink etc... More
