It doesn't hardly look like a church from the outside but inside it is lovely. The original church dates back to the 1600s. There are several very beautiful paintings in the side altars.

This church is truly massive in scale and although the interior is impressive, it's hardly stunning. In May 2018, it was also tricky to visit as a stage has been set up outside the church and it does seem to be closed. But it isn't....More

There was no shortage of beautiful churches throughout the Austrian villages and cities which we visited, and Innsbruck was no exception. Although the Jesuit Church in Innsbruck (University Church) was not particularly impressive at first blush, it was striking in its simplicity from the white...More

If you enjoy visiting older churches, you should include this on your trip. It was a simple, peaceful church without a lot of tourists. I enjoyed seeing the original baroque portions, and the new more modern additions. The crypts were also interesting to visit.

This is a real must if you like to visit beautiful old churches. It is a really good place to sit quietly and take in your surroundings. I was the only person in the church for about 10 minutes which was a real privilege. Some...More

This church is much quieter and less touristic than the other in the middle of town. With it's nice roof and art it's really worth a visit!

A nice church elegantly decorated with an attractive high altar with parts of the main altar modernized in a contemporary style. But compared to the Cathedral and the neighboring Hofkirche, it is rather simple, understated and a plain baroque church.

Wonderful baroque architecture with elaborate carvings. Whitewashed ceiling gives it a lighter touch.Worth a visit.

This is just down the street and outside the old town center wall. There was nobody inside at mid-day, so we enjoyed the quiet time. Fantastic art and architecture, arguably as nice or better than St. Jacob, both are worth your time while in Innsbruck....More

This church is not well known or visited but is very worthwhile to visit. It is a short walk from Old Town and the interior is simply stunning as are so many of the churches of this time. The wood craftsmanship and paintings are beautiful!
