We recently toured a few wineries in the Fraser Valley , we had reservations at all the Wineries , however when we arrived at Chamberton winery we were told your 12 minutes late , we can not accomodate you now.in a pompous demeaning tone. There were 4 employees standing in tatsing room and no Customers , we were told you can buy an bottle and do your own self tasting outside . The attitude at this winery is snobby and rude your not in France my dear its Langley... Do yourself a favor a drive by this place avoid the condescending attititude and head to Glasshouse Winery , awesome wines and pleasant down to earth people

Best Caesar Salad I have had for a long time. Large portion with lots of nice garlic dressing. The Pan Roasted Ling Cod was delicious as well as the Rib Eye Steak, done to perfection.

Visited Domaine as our first stop on our self guided wine tour. You definitely need to book in advance if you want a tasting as their capacity to hold tastings is down. We were taken to a private room in the front For our tasting. The decor itself is pretty old but gives the winery a bit of character. One recommendation I would have is to play music in the background for some atmosphere. Ed hosted our tasting and was incredibly knowledgeable. He definitely made our experience. We go do tastings because we want to learn, otherwise we would just grab a glass and sit outside- he definitely did not disappoint. In terms of the tasting fees previously spoken about in a review, yes you have to pay, no they aren’t giving you money off a purchase in lieu of a tasting fee. Guess what, you are paying for an experience, service and you get large pours. I would highly recommend Ed and Domaine de Chaberton.

Visited Chaberton, last week, with my wife & daughter, for wine sampling and lunch. We have been visiting Chaberton for as many years as it has been a winery (1975). (Used to be Domain de Chaberton). We arrived ahead of our lunch reservation to do a wine sampling. Sadly, the sampling charges have been raised. Was, prior to Covid, $5 for a 'flight' of wine for sampling. And, if you bought some product, the $5 would be deducted from cost. Now, they charge $10 and nothing comes off any purchase. Quite a change. Asked about the change and they are using Covid as an excuse, that they had to stop deducting from purchases. What a load of manure! Visited Township 7 Winery and Backyard Vineyard since that visit, and those two still do a deduction. Don't know if ownership has changed or management, but I am never happy with a money grab. We did stay for lunch which was good and the service was good. However, I am not a fan of supporting a management that turns chincy about their practices. Time to move on from Chaberton, Their wine is decent, but not over the top where we can't support all the other wineries sprouting in the Fraser Valley. Chaberton, you have lost some long standing loyal customers. You may want to review your 'policies'. The employees in the winery fell back on to the excuse of 'that's the policy'.

Had really enjoyed previous lunch and dinner experiences on special occasions - were disappointed on sept 4 lunch visit. Our lunch bill with tip was $90 which covered 3 glasses of wine, one soup, one salad and one lunch entree. At price point expected to be wowed somewhat. Were disappointed in the quality of food and service. Arrived at 12:15 , seemed rushed to order but no food until after 1:15, soup order was not input correctly. The entree came with a side of greens. It was a pile of lettuce tossed in vinegarette, that buried the quiche. For close to $100 we expected an “elevated” experience including a well presented plate. Given location anticipated better use of local ingredients. On a positive note, Covid protocols were followed closely, servers/greeters masked, tables appropriately separated. Sad to say we will not recommend to friends and not return. Value for $ not there. Quality of restaurants is continue to improve in Langley, Chamberton needs to up its game to support price point. Tired property and tired menu.
