This was a huge surprise to us. What a gorgeous area. Views of the Alps were unreal and churches, restaurants and shopping were a blast.

It's a huge 25 kms long lake with great views of the mountains and one can just walk around or swim in the lake. Views are breathtaking.

A very nice and peaceful place to relax. If you walk around the old town in Hallstatt and go up to the church you will have a lovely view over the lake. Choose the early morning, as it get crowded by the tourist at noon.
