Was here on a river cruise tour and was sorry I wasted the day here. Would have liked to have seen the caricature museum or art museum. The abbey was rebuilt in 1718 on a tight budget, even the tower clocks are painted on replicas....More

High above the Danube is a working Benedictine Monastery. Completed over a period of several hundred years you will see examples of Gothic and Baroque architecture. Famous for the apricots and their apricot brandy. The monks remain stewards of 17,000 acres.More
