Cozy yet sleek. Lovely outdoor setting and indoor is even better. Good selection of beer and spirits but that won’t even matter when you start sipping (or gulping) and enjoying the lovely atmosphere. Worth the visit and this is one of our new regular places. The music is absolutely prime and the decor makes you feel you’ve come to a classic pub stuck in time… the right time. Simon himself is a stand up guy. Simon’s deserves more five stars.

Little bit of a stroll from usual Sliema haunts but well worth the effort. Lovely place and Simon is so welcoming. Few local beers in bottles but he needs to get in some diet tonics!
Got a nice little patio area at the front and a games room at the back.

My wife and I were lucky enough to stay in several of Simon's apartments while we were in Malta for a week and one of them was directly above his pub. It isn't as annoying as you would think as in the evenings he deploys large wall-mounted canopies to stop the smoke and some of the noise rising upwards. The bar itself is an absolute gem reminiscent of an American diner with so many things to look at, from photos on the walls to hats, handcuffs and breweriana hanging from the bar. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and Simon Tonna is a lovely host. He likes his music so much that in late April he organises a spectacular music festival in and around the pub. Although the place looks small from the outside it is quite deep and even has a pool table out the back. His bar is overflowing with every short you can imagine and Cisk on draught along with wines, ciders and many other beers and lagers. It really is worth walking a block back from the seafront to Triq Depero to find this hidden little gem.

Such a shame as we only got to visit here once but well worth it. Simon the owner is great guy and the bar has a really chilled atmosphere as it's slightly off the beaten track, I'd recommend anyone to take the walk here and you won't be disappointed, just fab !!

We stayed at Simon's apartments and were lucky to stay in the top apartment with a great roof terrace with great views and sunshine. Great location with an easy walk to both St Julians Bay and Sliema. Some good local convenience stores to stock up on the essentials, milk, cheese and wine. Make sure you visit the pub, how pubs used to be.

In the back Streets of Sliema, situated on at the opposite end of Depiro Street to Sneakers & virtually over the road from The Jack Of All Traded, (see TripAdvisor for both), one of the best bard around, run by the chilled & charming Simon.
Good, raised seating area at the front to drink outside, great on a warm night & usually lots of people chatting, from locals, ex-pats & tourists. Inside pretty much the same with the bonus of an eclectic choice of music being played or tv to watch the football. You can also have a game of pool.
It can be a bit of a squeeze inside at times as the pub is so popular but the atmosphere is always friendly.
The inside is a bit of a strange shape, with long narrow room to one side & it's a mish-mash of decorations.
Pub grub snacks are available, such as pizza but get a drink & it won't be long until Simon is putting a plate of nibbles, (or whatever the Maltese equivalent of tapas is), on your table

Best pub near Balluta Bay!
Really well stocked bar, including Guinness and local beer on tap ! Very reasonable prices!
Simon is a local treasure and greets everyone, the same whether you’re a local or holidaymaker!
Fantastic playlist !
Pretty outdoor terrace with cushions and indoor air-conditioning with TV for live sports

Walked past this pub a few times but just too early. Opens at 8.30 pm.
Simon has owned and is running this pub for ever. Well since 1982.
Friendly host and popular with locals. Great whisky and beer selection.
We tried 3 different bottle beers from a local craft brewery Husky. All very nice. Simon also gave us some Maltese bread with chilli oil which was divine.
Would have come a few nights but only found it at the end of our stay.

Simon is our accomodation host so a bonus to find he also has this great pub within walking distance. Great vibe on a Saturday night. We will be back before we leave beautiful Malta!
