Absolutely fantastic walled medieval city with narrow streets and great architectural details around every corner. Go to the La Fontana (sp) and have a meal or just dessert and coffee on the roof level for the most amazing view of the surrounding area. The glass...More

The old city is small and compact, full of beautiful historic buildings. I went on a public holiday on a day trip. Apart from the occasional large tour groups which entered the main gate (so could get quite crowded there), it was not too crowded...More

A beautiful place to visit and one of our favourite places during our time on Malta. Lots of wide flat streets, history and wonderful architecture. Plenty of churches, shops and restaurants to sample too.

Visited Mdina as part of a tour of the Island of Malta. What a fabulous place. Views of the City from the surrounding area of Rabat are fabulous. But when you get inside, it moves to another level. What a lovely city with amazing views....More

We visited at dusk when it was very still and quiet. The view from the city is wonderful. Our group had a guide, who provided a lot of information.

Great place to just wander around very old city still (I imagine) as it was for hundreds of years well preserved. Very easy to get to and walk around.

A lovely old city at the top of a hill, with stunning views. Walking around the streets you can imagine the people who lived there in the past, the place is dripping in history. They call it the quiet city because vehicles are restricted in...More

Took the 186 from Bugibba bus station which ment you were fairly sure of getting a seat any stop after you would be standing for the complete journey which will take the best part of an hour because of traffic. As the last review has...More

Went to visit the ancient city of Medina. It is a real jewel, especially for the history buffs. The outside fortications are amazing with the town inside the walls stunning. People still live here and the place is so clean and tidy, it's lovely to...More

Mdina is immediately next to Rabat. We parked 200m from the entrance of the old city. There is also a parking at a side entrance in the citywall to the north-west of Mdina. So no problem at all.
