A beautiful city in general. Really nice architecture and great views of the areas surrounding the Mdina. Geologists will like it as the entire city made out of local yellow limestone, some if it unfortunately vandalized. There are lots of horses with chariots taking the...More

Everyone who visits Malta must go to Mdina, and ancient (if small) city. A wonderful place to walk with much history...to think how the city was built without modern day advances and to see it still standing proud today. Wander the side streets in addition...More

It is a very well preserved old town with its restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops. The views from the fortress wall are espectacular, you can see almost the whole island of Malta.

Mdina is a beautiful place, seeped in history. Called ‘The Silent City’ and once the capital of Malta, Mdina is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Valletta, the new capital. Surrounded by high walls, the quiet streets are like a labyrinth that...More

Mdina is tiny but it is well worth the visit! Given that it’s known as the silent city it is also full of the hustle able bustle of any tourist spot. We took the opportunity for a tour by horse drawn carriage for €35 available...More

Wonderful walk inside the beautiful narrow streets of Mdina. Just be careful of the horses and carriages which run the city!

Mdina is immediately next to Rabat. We parked 200m from the entrance of the old city. There is also a parking at a side entrance in the citywall to the north-west of Mdina. So no problem at all.
