“Love this place”
Olstofa Kormaks og Skjaldar is a cozy and friendly local bar with good selection of beers on tap as well as bottles, whiskeys and spirits. It is the home of the Brio beer (from the Icelandic microbrewery Borg) and also has at least two other beers...more

Spent an arm and a leg for a White Russian at Lebowski’s and had to escape the loud tourists and interminable footy on giant screens. This place is more my style, quiet with cool jazz playing. Ordered Kombucha beer, a drink I’ve never experienced before....More

Great bar, hidden away. Seems like it's more popular with locals than with tourists which is always a plus. Bartenders were friendly and poured stiff drinks. Nice heated outdoor smoking area and cool bar design. Just great place to sit down for a while with...More

Staff is really arrogant. Staff has terrible attitude (the poorest I have seen in Europe, Asia and the U,S.) The only plus is opening hours, but there are other much better alternatives like Kaldi, Weather bar (?) and Coffee bar (?), where the staff is...More

One of the most popular pubs in Iceland. If you enjoy a glass of wine or fantastic Icelandic beer- Ölstofa Kormáks og Skjaldar is the place. Located in Reykjavík centre. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.

Absolutely LOVE this bar and it's probably my favourite place to be in Iceland. I've been to Iceland almost 50 times over the last 5 years and whenever I am there I'm here. You can keep your glaciers, geysers, icebergs and northern lights - none...More

If you want to absorb some local colour and enjoy good beer visit this bar. Up a back alley but very safe. Iceland apparently has almost no crime so no fear of being mugged etc. The night we visited the patrons were laughing and talking...More

Wonderful local bar with a nice beer selection. Nice atmosphere on a Saturday night. The bartenders were attentive.

This the place if you want to drink beer. The locals come to here, so the atmosphere is less touristic. There is a great selection of beer, not cheap but there is nothing cheap in Iceland. The staff is friendly, you can taste the beer...More

Dark as you would want in a backstreet boozer, with a good range of beers, friendly locals & staff, old school decor and the smokiest smoking area annexed to the main bar.
