There are quite a few record shops in downtown Reykjavik. Skifan was open late, very spaceous, lots of cd's on display everywhere, lots of categories which made looking for cd's much easier, and quite a few charts of various kinds on the walls. The staff was super friendly on both occasions we walked in and were able to make suggestions what to buy.

My friend and I stumbled upon Skifan when walking along the main street Laugavegur in Reykjavik looking for another music store and we decided to go in. The salesperson was extremely helpful and friendly and was able to make great recommendations for Icelandic bands based on our tastes. Awesome store, highly recommended!
