A must see if you are in Tampere
To be honest there is not a lot to see and do in Tampere. It is more of a stopping point. But if you are in Tampere this Tower is a must and well worth the price of admission. We ended up spending a couple of hours there enjoying the incredible views and relaxing over the drink that comes with admission. Really do not leave town without going into the tower. It is also fun to watch the people in the amusement park below the tower.

Magnificent view over Pirkanmaa landscape
Magnificent view over Tampere, a city between two lakes, and Pirkanmaa landscape. Spacious observation deck with large windows and a cafeteria. Windows were slightly annoyingly dirty outside. There is also a restaurant, but we didn't visit there.

A must see if you are in Tampere

To be honest there is not a lot to see and do in Tampere. It is more of a stopping point. But if you are in Tampere this Tower is a must and well worth the price of admission. Magnificent view over Tampere, a city between two lakes, and Pirkanmaa landscape. Spacious observation deck with large windows and a cafeteria. Windows were slightly annoyingly dirty outside. There is also a restaurant, but we didn't visit there.

Go to restaurant and access the tower

If you are hungry then go to restaurant and you do not pay for observation tower entrance. I do not think the 5+ euros for entrance to the tower alone is worth it.The restaurant is very good too which was a little surprising as I thought maybe it would not be so good and too touristy. Amazing views from the tower revolving restaurant, well worth a visit on a clear day. Sunset view here is very nice. About a 20min walk from main shops and town.

Classic view over Tampere

Hey, I can see all the way to Hervanta from up here! Didn't try the restaurant menu, but the views are classic. First visited this place in the -80's.

Went there to see the tallest building in Finland. Well its safe to say that finland should not be on your bucket list for sky scrapers. This tower looks ugly and old from the outside. The view is very nice from the top but otherwise its not beautiful.

Fabulous view!

On a clear day you can see not quite for ever, but certainly a long way! I was a little afraid I might suffer from vertigo as it’s so very high up - but when I stepped out into the viewing area I felt completely comfortable, and could have spent a very long time up there: as it is, I went round twice - so much to see and enjoy

Well worth the price of admission - but don’t bother if the weather’s bad!
