Uspenskin Cathedral is beautiful on the outside and the inside. The inside is on the smaller side so we had to wait to get in, but it was worth the wait to see the intricate details inside.

So beautiful you can't decide where to look first. So worth the walk up the hill to see the inside, such a peaceful place. If you are in the city after sunset the Cathedral is lite up and even more breathtaking. We arrived on Monday...More

A very interesting place, a true place of worship in Orthodox ritual with beautiful pictures. It is located on a high hill above the City of Helsinki ... in short, is worth to spend on hour to visit that impressive monument of faith and art...More

When we visited, there was a service (or something like it) taking place. It was a fantastic experience and the atmosphere was amazing. Even though the interior is beautifully decorated, the actually building is what makes this cathedral so impressive. Form the harbor, take the...More

Uspenski Cathedral dominates the waterfront in Helsinki. Because of its location high on the cliff, it appears to be more impressive than the Helsinki Cathedral (LutheranTuomiokirkko) . Originally the church was Russian orthodox but became Greek Orthodox after the Russian revolution. The interior is magnificent...More

Missed the open hours, so can only comment on the outside location and view. The cathedral is located on the top of a hill, where it promenently overlooks Helsinki.

I couldn't wait to get up close to this beautiful church as soon as I saw it from the ferry. Close to the centre of town and across the road from the Skywheel , it's well worth a visit. There is also someone intricately restoring...More

It's closed on Monday. They are only opened for a couple of hours on other days if the week too. Though it is worth going in, just looking at the church and walking around it to see the 360 view of Helsinki bay is nice, too.
