Beautiful orthodox cathedral, a must if you do not know this type of buildings. Beautiful exterior point of view and internally richly decorated.

Really something to behold. Built on a hill, it’s presence overlooking some of Helsinki is quite imposing, the architecture is incredible and the detail and design inside is a must-see. Free to enter and visit.

It is the first orthodox church, I have ever been to and it made a big impact on me. It actually demonstrates the impact that Russian culture had on Finland. The onion golden domes and the red bricks make its beauty to stand out. Worth...More

I was in Helsinki for a brief time. I had a 10 hour airport layover and took the 30 min train to the main city center and then walked to the ferry station and then to this imposing cathedral. It looked so good for a...More

A beautiful appearing church - on a hill and of intriguing red brick. We couldn’t go in as it was closed. It is situated right by the market square so easy to include on a walking trip at the square.

I gave this monument a passing visit and loved the outdoors. The building looks truly impressive and fall colours made it even better.

This is a hard to miss cathedral since it is visible from the downtown harbor area. It is a short walk from the harbor area. The exterior stands out as classic Russian Orthodox. Since the cathedral was closed at the time, I cannot speak about...More

It's closed on Monday. They are only opened for a couple of hours on other days if the week too. Though it is worth going in, just looking at the church and walking around it to see the 360 view of Helsinki bay is nice, too.
