I didnt like at all. Looks like an eastern european suburban. There is nothing to see. I will never go back in here.

The old neighborhood of Katajanakka populated by poor and not recommanded people is a nice place today. Walk through the streets, lift up your eyes and see the buildings. Don't forget, in this island, Ouspenski cathedral and the old jail.

Would imagine the area would be even better to explore in summer but was interesting in November as well. Quite a few trendy cafes and restaurants to visit. Enjoyed wandering around and then visiting Upenski cathedral which is a must visit.

I stumbled upon this gem of a place while roaming aimlessly around Uspenski Cathedral. Loved the walk along the water & clicked plenty of pics along the restaurants.

There a number of fairly cool bars situated in this area, along with the Scandic Marina hotel. Plenty of good walks can be had, especially the waterfront walk. This will include some great views of the immense ice-breaker ships, some of which are moored here...More
