It was very interesting. The pianist was very skilled and showed off the acoustic in this church. It is relaxing and beautiful.

Touristic or religious visit. Helsinki Rock Church needs the respect that deserves every religious building, and you must stay there a little time to relax and feel its magestic ambient, maybe a little difficult if you get in rush hour of tourists. Feel free to...More

It’s built into the rock. It serves three congregations. A woman was playing the organ, church music, what else?

It is a beautiful church but given its popularity don’t go if your expecting some peace and quiet to take in your surroundings!

This is certainly a unique and imaginative building and should definitely be something to see on a visit to Helsinki. We got there fairly early so were lucky to look around before the inevitable coach loads of tourists, to get a feel for the acoustics.

This church is a working church, not just a tourist attraction. Fascinating to see and amazing how it has been hewn from the rock.

Attended church here amazing rocks and the copper is incredible. The pipe organ had a lovely sound. Although it was in Finnish we could follow along and the music of course was great. Lutheran woman priest did the service

Stunning, timeless architecture, inside (literall) solid granite rock with a copper ceiling in downtown Helsinki. Simple, meaning not ornate, can be so beautiful. Great accoustics.

Real masterpuece of a building! Glad I was there on a sunny day, because of the dynamic daylight play inside of the church. Try to visit the church on a working day, not on a sunday when many people are there.

Hi, We visited with our large group of about 26 on a Monday afternoon, it was not that crowded, but we made it crowded! I really don't know what time would be best to visit, it is fairly small. I hope this helps you out.
