Sailed there by JT-Line and spent there three hours which was too short time. The nature is beautiful, especially the Vallisaari pond. Tasty ice cream from Jäätelökahvila Paja.

I bought the island hopping ticket, so I could visit Vallisaari, Lonna and Suomenlinna. On Vallisaari you can walk around the island, have a picnic and enjoy the great views. Half of the island is closed and you can't leave the trail.

Lovely little island that has just opened to the public. They have a lovely little cafe with a nice terrace in the harbour. A walk around the island is very relaxing and from the other side you get a nice view over Helsinki

What a beautiful island and so interesting with the information boards placed along the trail, explaining its history. Wonderful views. The river bus was so convenient and a really good service.

We bought a 3 island-hopping ticket (8 euros per person) from JT Line in the Market Square which enabled us to visit Vallisaari, and was one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Helsinki. The other islands were Lonna and Suomenlinna. Vallisaari...More
