near to the city centre. Full of interactive areas, real size animals, one room dedicated for auroras. Really good.

Just in case you missed the "original nature show" don't miss the Arktikum exhibition. You can go there before the "original nature show" but keep in mind that this is not the real one. Enjoy.

The science museum was mainly about the arctic circle which is interesting but the museum really just had that and not much else

We enjoyed the Artikum but I thought it could have been better. There was some really good information about Finnish history and about Lapland wildlife. On the other hand there was a nearly pornographic exhibition about sex among Lapland animals and PEOPLE.

It was a great place to come, especially on a rainy day. We walked along the lake from the city centre which was beautiful. We learnt a lot about life in the Arctic.

Located in the city of Rovaniemi, it is within walking distance of our hotel. Great place to learn about the culture of the indigenous people and the science behind the Northern lights. Very interactive exhibits!

Walking distance from the centre. If you love art and history this is a great place to visit at low cost.

The building itself is amazing whether viewed from inside or outside by the river. In fact do not omit to walk along the shoreline. Apparently, this is also a good place to see the aurora borealis if you are in Rovaniemi and need a place...More

Highly recommended! Lots of interesting facts on the Arctic, its fauna, flora and native peope. Some objects are already a bit dated but still worth a visit! Take your kids!
