This place is what I remember best from my own childhood, when visiting Stockholm and Sweden. Now my own children, 14 & 12, always want to experience this place whenever in town.

Skansen is the type of place where you could spend a whole day plus. It has a zoo and the rest of it is an historic site. Like Sturbridge it has homes of different vintages including a number of farms with all their out-buildings. Inside...More

Visited on a Tuesday at the beginning of August . Arrived around 11am and only had to queue for a short while. We didn't really know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. There was plenty to see and do for couples and families alike...More

Excellent fun for families. Lots of strange animals and you walk with quite a few monkeys. Try petting the snake and spider in the end.

Spent a full day here and it was the best day we had whilst in Sweden. If you've been to Beamish then it's similar to that where you can visit old houses and schools etc. Lots going on for everyone.

Skansen was a delightful place to walk and relax and this entry feels like a slice of history captured in time, amusement, some animals, interesting

Wonderful place for family. This place combines the ancient life in Sweden and zoo. There is also traditional Swedish food like coffee with buns (Fika) and potatoes with fish.

We were on the site for a few hours, you could be there for a whole day. The site includes real buildings from all over Sweden with activities for adults and children. Includes a zoo, highly recommended

This is a wonderfully magical place. It's a brilliant idea to have all this different structure place together in a park. And to include zoo as well. The ticket price isn't expensive. Only think you need is enough time and strength to walk around. It's...More
