Great atmosphere, good music, good drink prices. Seating was limited the night we went. Bar service was quick.

Fasching is a concert venue, club, restaurant and bar centrally located on Kungsgatan 63 in Stockholm. Since its inception in 1977, Fasching has grown to become Scandinavia's largest organizer of jazz and the club is well known both in the country and internationally. Here come the as yet unknown talents, the big stars, upstarts and legends. Here the art of improvisation thrives!

The bouncers here are incredibly rude. They kicked out my sister even though she had only had two beers and then when I had an anxiety attack because they refused to let me get my coat, no one helped. It was such a terrible clubbing experience and frankly I don’t think anyone should go here.

Fasching is an institution on the Stockholm music scene and although it’s been around since our parents were young (1977 to be precise) - it still delivers, not only on jazz but also on funk, soul and honestly, anything worth listening to.
It also happens to have some of the best bartenders in town. Go!

Love the music and ambience. Small and cozy place. But the food and staff could definitely improve but well we were there for music so a night well heard!

I love the live concerts here. You can find any kind of jazz music, but the good ones :).

You can feel the old New Orleans feeling some nights if you're lucky.

At the Bonga concert we were treated like animals by the staff. A complete disrespect for every African and Latin person in attendance. I can see on Facebook there's more complaints about them being rude, loud, pushing customers around like animals, and being specially harsh with people of colour. If that's not racism I don't know what it is.

For example I saw a waiter shouting and pushing a paying customer next to me, and empowering 2 other (white) people to physically threaten that same customer. You just want an "exotic artist" in your musical zoo but have zero respect for their audience. That's not promoting world music, that's exploiting black culture.

Would any respectable concert venue have people seating and eating dinner at the front row of a James Brown or Fela Kuti concert? Fasching needs to know their artists much better and respect the audience that goes there to enjoy the concert and not just to have a piece of stake.

Will never go back unless you change your staff. I want my money back.

I am a musician that played this wonderful place. The food is great and the music, like the staff, is always Grade A. Sanna, the manager, is a very nice and accommodating host which inspires my wife and I to return here

Fantastic if you want to combine dinner and music. You'll have dinner before the concert starts but can keep your table. The food is not bad and the staff does a good job.

Of the 3 jazz clubs I visited while in Stockholm, Fasching was the biggest, fanciest and grandest. The crowd was also the oldest looking, with about 25% being tourists, including myself. I walked in rather late at around 10pm, no seats available and plenty of standing room. No one stopped me for a cover charge, yay! I think the cheapest beer was less than 50SEK. The bartender was friendly enough and spoke perfect English.

Not sure who the band was, but they sounded American, talked like they were American, and they sounded good! Definitely worth a visit if you like jazz, but don't want the seriousness of Glenn Miller Cafe or Stampen.
