If you go inside the mall down the escalator you will find a more modern market with plenty of things to try. You should get the fish soup at the fish restaurant. It is well worth the trip for that alone.

The food stalls are overpriced and not different at all. I thought there would be more visible history here but alas not worth the time .

Located in and around Hötorgshallen the "Old Haymarket" consists of several similar stands plus Food Stalls and Restaurants, much of the product overpriced and seating limited save for those purchasing an item from one of the few purveyors offering dine-in.

This litte square isn't pretty (apart from the sculpture in the pic), it's usually dirty with rubbish thrown everywhere but it's also the place many Swedes meet each other on the stairs, where people buy their fruit, veg and flowers at the markets and where...More

Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest

Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the
Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with
its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget
Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm
postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most
